The innovative design of the Stocker axes selected by the ADI Design Index
ADI Design Index is the annual selection of the best Italian design: a working group of over 100 experts has selected the Stocker chopping and splitting axes (Art. 752, 753, 754) among many other products, including luxury cars and boats, everyday objects and various accessories.
Not only does this recognition represent an important result at national level, but it is also a key to access the most prestigious international selection: only the products selected by the ADI Design Index and published in the relative book subsequently access the selection by the international jury of the Compasso D’Oro, the oldest and most recognized design award in the world.
In collaboration with the company MM Design of Bolzano, the line of cutting axes was born with an innovative production system to improve grip, reduce the weight and eliminate the vibrations caused by the cutting stroke.
The design has taken care of the best possible ergonomics by inserting softer PU plastic parts for more grip and improving comfort. From a technological point of view, the design has experimented with an innovative overmoulding system of the hollow handle, in reinforced plastic, directly on the head, made of high quality carbon steel.
